Good watch, slow shipping

Does Benrus actually make their watches in Switzerland? Or is it like, Swiss parts assembled elsewhere?

From what I understand, a lot of their stuff, especially the newer 'heritage' military styles, are genuinely Swiss Made. They make a point of saying that on the product pages for those models.

Some models are for sure. My Type II says Swiss Made right on the dial. Think it depends on the specific watch you're looking at though.

Yeah, I have the Type I and a 6.5-inch wrist. It's a chunky watch, but it wears pretty well. Not too overbearing, surprisingly.

I'd say check the lug-to-lug measurements. That's usually a better indicator than just case size for how it'll feel on you. My buddy has one and it's a solid piece.

The Benrus has that true historical military connection which is cool. Hamilton's great too, but the Benrus feels a bit more authentic to the original military spec.

I've got both. The Hamilton is a bit more polished, I'd say. The Benrus feels a bit more rugged and tool-ish, in a good way. Depends if you want a true field watch vibe or something a bit more versatile.
